Unbound creates opportunity around the world, including right here in Kansas City.
Unbound is a founding partner of Cristo Rey High School's work study program in Kansas City. Through the program, students can subsidize about half the cost of their education. Unbound provides employment for several Cristo Rey students each semester so they can raise funds toward their tuition and gain invaluable work experience.
Unbound staff members volunteer weekly by tutoring children at Chalet Manor public housing in the Argentine neighborhood of Kansas City, Kan. The Learning Club of KCK serves more than 100 children, in first to seventh grades, at five worksites, focusing on homework help and enrichment activities. Unbound and the Learning Club of KCK share the goal of helping children who live in poverty realize their limitless potential through a one-to-one relationship.
Unbound partners with JobOne, the largest vocational services agency serving adults with disabilities in Western Missouri, to help process thousands of letters and photos coming into our global headquarters from around the world. Our partnership has helped cut turnaround time for getting letters out to Unbound sponsors. For JobOne, the partnership has provided its employees with the opportunity to be part of a team, to be valued, to have purpose and to be proud of their accomplishments and successes.
