Mental health support critical in fighting poverty

As one in eight people worldwide struggle with mental health challenges, Unbound recognizes the deep connection between poverty and mental health and responds by providing families access to critical support services that strengthen stability, resilience and well-being.

At a school in Kenya, two Unbound mothers groups worked together to install a handwashing station with 20 clean water taps to improve hygiene and reduce absenteeism due to water-borne illnesses. The initiative benefited not only sponsored children who attend the school but other students from the community as well.
