Sponsor finds solace from grief through bonding with sponsored friend

Longtime sponsor Jimmy Arreaga took an Unbound Awareness Trip to Guatemala in early 2025 to meet his sponsored friend María Alexandra and her family. The experience helped him cope with the grief he was feeling over the loss of a loved one and gave him renewed purpose in his walk with María Alexandra as she works to overcome poverty.

Eduardo, who is the father of sponsored child Hamsel, is a motorcycle taxi driver and sells fruits and vegetables at the Farmers and Artisans Fair in his community in Honduras. Eduardo has benefited from saving and financial planning strategies he learned from Unbound as a participant in his local savings and credit cooperative.
