Unbound members in El Salvador affected by Hurricane Michael
Before Hurricane Michael hit the U.S. with devastating force, the storm caused floods and landslides in areas of Central America where Unbound works.
We received word from our staff in El Salvador that at least seven families’ homes were flooded in one community, and a home in another community was destroyed when a tree fell on it. No injuries were reported.
Staff in El Salvador are providing food, blankets and other assistance as they’re able to reach affected communities. Families will need help rebuilding, and Unbound will make disaster response funds available as needed.
