Account Manager

Unbound is looking to make meaningful change in the world and we need an Account Manager to help us. The Account Manager will be responsible for building and nurturing multiple account relationships within specific vertical markets (i.e. faith communities, schools or workplaces). The account manager will be responsible for serving as the key contact of a group of newly established or existing strategic level relationships that are assigned to them. The Account Manager plans and coordinates a diverse set of outreach campaigns, value-added offerings and key events that will strengthen the relationship and achieve internal growth targets. They will be expected to understand the unique needs of each external organization they are assigned, while leading others inside Unbound to ensure value and excellence is delivered in each experience provided. They will collaborate with key channel leaders to schedule and customize offerings and impactful experiences that will compel others to participate in the Unbound community. This role will have or develop expertise in their unique market, awareness of emerging trends, and the capability to proactively address new opportunities and to troubleshoot account specific issues.

The Account Manager will partner with others inside Unbound to monitor campaign results and account level feedback to continually refine and adjust in-market executions.

The primary work location for this role will be in Unbound’s Kansas City, KS office, with some flexibility to work remotely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify top trends and relevant opportunities in the specific vertical markets of the assigned accounts
  • Profile top prospects and key client relationships in the target market utilizing a variety of data and research tools
  • Draft and activate account specific, multi-year treatment plans that breakthrough, engage and motivate decision makers, influencers, and large audiences who are accessible through the relationship
  • Execute scalable and impactful outreach efforts (mail, phone, email, in person meetings) to build a steady pipeline of opportunities, while documenting and monitoring progress in applicable systems and tools
  • Build rapport and trust with integrity, transparency and a commitment to excellence
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach and appropriately customize offerings.
  • Secure and schedule account specific treatments, appeals and value-added events
  • Proactively coordinate account specific plans and tactics with channel leaders, outreach team members, marketing, and operations
  • Trouble-shoot issues and address opportunities with responsive follow-up and attention to detail

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales, marketing, or account development. They must have outstanding relationship building and communication skills and will be expected to travel to utilize phone, digital and face to face meetings with key relationships. They will offer differentiated and relevant value and programming to strategic level relationships, while bringing back market insight and customer feedback to Unbound. Specific qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in marketing, communication or public relations
  • 3-8 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, relationship management, or business to business marketing

Account Manager - Catholic Schools

Unbound is looking to make meaningful change in the world and we need an Account Manager for Catholic Schools to help us. The Account Manager for Catholic Schools will be responsible for building and nurturing account relationships with schools and religious education programs in parishes. This role will have or develop expertise in the unique Catholic school environment, awareness of emerging trends, and the capability to proactively address new opportunities and to troubleshoot account specific issues.

Accounting Manager

Unbound is seeking an Accounting Manager to work in our Finance Department. This position is responsible for maintaining the accounting general ledger and supporting documentation along with related activities as described below.

Unbound accounting policies are consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for nonprofit organizations. As such, we utilize fund accounting with both restricted and unrestricted net assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This position has primary responsibility for the company general ledger. Maintains the accounting general ledger in Microsoft Dynamics, including preparation/review of journal entries, account reconciliations and monthly reporting of financial results
  • Manages our accounts payable process by utilizing Concur payables system
  • Works closely with other departments and our banking partners to facilitate and execute, on a monthly basis, disbursements to Unbound affiliated offices in 19 countries around the world
  • Reviews and approves (prepares as needed) Kansas Use Tax, Form 1099 and miscellaneous regulatory reporting
  • Facilitates annual audit to be performed by independent CPA firm. Prepares/provides documentation and information requested by the auditors
  • Supports and assists Director of Finance while providing leadership and support to accounting team consisting of 3-4 individuals
  • Provides support to other management and team members via accounting information, reporting, etc.
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics, Crystal Report Writer, Excel and Word is preferred
  • Regular use of Unbound’s in-house data system, CASA. This skill will be taught to the selected candidate

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with emphasis in accounting from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation a strong plus.

Facilities and Maintenance Specialist

Unbound is seeking to enable meaningful change in the world and we need a Facilities and Maintenance Specialist to help us. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating general maintenance, repairs, construction, and remodeling projects for the property. The position will require hands on repair and maintenance as well as the engagement of outside professionals as needed.

This position is also responsible for internal order fulfillment, warehouse receiving, inventory, maintenance of designated equipment, event setup, emergency action planning, and recycling. The role will also help ensure building safety and security through regular interior and exterior evaluations and administration of Unbound’s safety and security systems. This position may provide support for the Service Center or other departments as needed.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Completing minor to semi-complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Working with vendors and outside service providers to assist with more complex facilities needs.
  • Maintaining maintenance of air systems and mechanical upkeep of equipment throughout the facility (AC, heating, plumbing & electrical).
  • Purchasing repair parts, requisitioning tools, equipment, and supplies needed to maintain equipment.
  • Coordinating grounds maintenance including: landscaping; fence upkeep; parking lot issues include resurfacing, striping, as well as salting and shoveling walkways.
  • Warehouse duties including: outgoing order fulfillment, receiving, box handling, palletizing, forklift operation, cleaning, organizing, inventory.
  • Assisting other departments as requested, including space allocation and planning, moving furniture, setting up of cubicles, unloading and storing of supplies, etc.
  • Supporting overall building safety and security including maintaining emergency action plans related to egress and general safety of employees in case of fire, tornado or other emergency situation.
  • Maintaining and supervising recycling duties including paper pickup/sorting, receipt recycling, cardboard disposal, etc.
  • Maintaining working knowledge of various office equipment (photo, mail, print,) in order to assist in upkeep and repair.

Program Development Director

Unbound is working to make meaningful change in the world and we are seeking an experienced Program Development Director to help us. Reporting to the Director of Growth & Revenue Development (GRD), the Program Development Director is responsible for leading the creation of new programs and initiatives that will motivate groups and institutions to deepen their engagement with Unbound. This new role will directly support our long-term goals of growth and diversification. This leader will collaborate across various teams to expand our offerings in existing and emerging channels.

The director will partner with GRD leadership and cross functional staff to ideate and test new options for attracting and engaging various groups (churches, schools, workplaces, associations, affinity groups, etc.) into our community. The director will focus on designing and developing value-added programs which are complementary activities, offers and experiences to achieve a desired outcome (awareness, engagement, conversion, advocacy) amongst a targeted group. These programs will help Unbound build new and extend existing relationships with the leaders and active members of these communities. The director will be charged with building a collection of “turnkey” branded programs that can be adapted by account managers and market developers to nurture the group level relationships. These programs may include the support and capabilities of 3rd party partners.

Key to this position is leading with a customer-focused mindset. This leader must anticipate and help address the unique needs and wants of different audiences who are accessible through key groups. The director must be a strategic collaborator who can pull in team members (channel leaders, creatives, and other cross functional team members) to build new and continually refine the portfolio of programs. Software Engineer

The primary responsibility of the Software Engineer is to maintain and enhance existing Unbound proprietary software applications and to assist in the design and development of new initiatives. Must be able to develop, design and test software efficiently while communicating effectively with all user levels. Experience with web-based application development is required. The ideal candidate will possess thorough knowledge of the .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, Crystal Reports, SQL and related technologies. Must be a team player and be able to solve problems effectively working alone or with fellow team members. Working within the principles of Agile software development is required. Possesses an aptitude for mentoring of software developers, including some code review of their work. Unbound will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
