Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for the detailed work of understanding various sets of organizational and functional data, and in conveying that understanding to leadership and staff through a variety of means including reports, presentations, visualizations, and dashboards. This role is pivotal to helping Unbound leadership and staff make informed, data-driven decisions, within strategic, functional, and day-to-day planning and activities.

The individual in this role is expected to monitor, identify, and understand trends and insights within sets of data, and to be able to communicate those in various ways to teams and stakeholders throughout the organization. The Business Intelligence Analyst aids in effective decision-making by conveying a true and comprehensive understanding of what Unbound’s data is telling us. This includes the creation of ongoing and individual reports, charts, graphs, and datasets.

This position will be responsible for keeping leadership and staff informed on trends in Unbound’s metrics concerning organizational progress and health in the areas of sponsor/donor behavior, sustainability benchmarks, and other organizational and functional KPIs (key performance indicators).

The Analyst will be expected to generate and understand current reporting methods/outputs and to devise better ones, including questioning, contextualizing, and analyzing what the data is telling us. This role requires experience with data gathering and analysis with an orientation towards critical and creative thinking, and effective communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Intelligence or a related field from a four-year college or university. Three to five years directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience with data analysis, data presentation, or similar areas within the field of Business Intelligence
  • Strong working knowledge and experience using data visualization software such as Power BI (preferred), Tableau, or similar
  • SQL knowledge and experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Knowledge of data gathering, preparation and analysis techniques; Business Intelligence concepts, terminology, best practices, tools and software; relational database concepts
  • Enthusiasm about data and what can be learned from it
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to understand and analyze functions, activities, and processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities while working with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
  • Desire to work in service of the poor.

Job Type: Full Time. Work location will be "hybrid" with some time spent working from home and some spent working in our Kansas City office.

Catholic Outreach Manager

Unbound is enabling people to make meaningful changes in their lives and we need a Catholic Outreach Manager who can help us with our mission.

The Catholic Outreach Manager will be responsible for building and nurturing Unbound’s relationship with the Catholic Church including communicating the brand and grounding in the social teachings of the Church. Individual will be responsible for the execution of marketing and public relations strategies related to the weekend parish visit program and school classroom partnerships, as well as other initiatives reaching the Catholic audience.

This US based role will focus on key religious and lay leaders in the Catholic Church and other affiliated organizations. They will be responsible for traveling to major metro areas to connect with prospective partners who represent the millions of members of the Catholic community.

They will help define account specific development strategies that are aligned with mission of the Church and Unbound. This leader will collaborate with a team of internal account managers, data analysts and channel leaders to define and achieve short and long-term growth goals.

The primary work location for this role could be in Unbound’s Kansas City, KS office or in any US city with ready access to a major airport.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales, marketing, and account development. They must have outstanding relationship building and communication skills and will be expected to travel at least 50% of the time and consistently execute a high volume of varied outreach to targeted audiences. They will offer differentiated and relevant value and programming to strategic level relationships, while bringing back market insight and customer feedback to Unbound. Specific qualifications include:

  • 8+ years of experience in managing sales and/or operations at the area / national level, National account management and/or interaction preferred.
  • 5+ years progressively responsible strategic relationship development experience in challenging external and internal environments, preferably in a not-for-profit organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in marketing, communications, public relations, or theology
  • Ability to travel domestically (50 - 70% of the time) and internationally (up to 2 trips per year).
  • Deep experience and familiarity with the Catholic Church structure and culture, and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the social teachings of the universal Catholic Church.
  • Must have a desire to work in the service to the poor.
  • Direct experience in parishes, schools and faith-based groups is highly preferred.
  • Strong existing network of Catholic leaders and influencers.
  • Passion for servant leadership with a focus on social justice, individual empowerment, and community building.
  • Demonstrated strength in customer relationship development and management; strong skills in defusing conflict and coordinating service recovery; focused follow through with detailed response implementation.
  • Proven influencing, networking, and relationship-building skills
  • Technical aptitude as a user of customer relationship management (CRM) tools, virtual communication and teleconferencing platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, respond quickly to changing priorities, and adapt within a fast-paced environment.

Lead Project Manager

Unbound is enabling people to make meaningful changes in their lives and we need a Lead Project Manager who can help us with our mission.

The Lead Project Manager delivers value and impact to Unbound through managing a variety of projects of varying scopes and sizes, including enterprise-wide projects and specific projects for functional areas across the organization.

This role will oversee and lead projects from their initial planning stages through to completion. It requires a dedicated, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with proven experience managing projects, large and small, and up-to-date knowledge of project management techniques, tools and approaches.

This role is accountable for ensuring forward progress on multiple projects at the same time, including the most complex, multi-faceted, and broadest-reaching projects within the organization. Unbound leadership and teams rely on the Lead Project Manager as a capable, reliable partner who is focused on keeping projects moving forward, seeing them completed efficiently and effectively. The role is highly collaborative; on a daily basis, the Lead Project Manager’s work involves interacting with and building positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders both internal (leadership and teams across Unbound) and external (vendors and suppliers, as applicable).

The Lead Project Manager is also Unbound’s voice of expertise on project management, helping coach and advise other project managers and related roles on best-practices, and establishing Unbound’s standards and processes around project management.

  • Experience working with a variety of project management software tools, with perspective on pros/cons of each

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization
