This page is a doorway into the past, through which we can witness a random, unchronological day in the past lives of the main characters in UNBOUND, one at a time. All of these events take place before the story (for now, at least), and accordingly and appropriately, collectively are entitled BOUND.
In trying to whittle UNBOUND to a more manageable (read: marketable) size, I had to trim many character-building scenes, so these vignettes will allow me to explore these persons further, and share their tales with you. These stories will also give you an idea of the cast well before the book sees print, and hopefully will give you something to look forward to in terms of further adventures with them.
This page will open onto a roster page. Each of the twelve will have a link to their own series of stories. I plan to alternate and rotate the cast until all of them have at least three or so 2-3 page segments done. I'll start with Lily, Will, and "Brother Al;" beyond that I'm not sure at this early point.
This is still an experimental idea, and I'm going slow with it as it might not be good to put material out on the Web so readily, even though protected by copyright. I may have to put it behind a registration screen; we'll see, it's early yet. Also, revealing some of the latter characters of Part One in this way may not be wise due to spoilers.
Eventually BOUND will (hopefully) be the sequel to UNBOUND, but in actuality is a prequel; sort of like Aeschylus to Shelley's Prometheuses. Naturally, I want both of my books in print very much, so I'll be doing everything I can to facilitate that from this point on! With this section along with those for UNBOUND, I hope to get both projects into Readers' hands, soon.
