Earthquake occurs near Philippines

A 7.6-magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of the Philippines on Friday, which killed at least one person according to CNN.com and the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake triggered a tsunami warning for parts of Indonesia and the Philippines, but that was later rescinded according to BBC.com.

There have been no reports of serious injuries or deaths among the CFCA community.

CFCA serves more than 44,000 sponsored children, youth and elderly in the Philippines.
